The Hotel Kieppi is a farmhouse style, wooden ski lodge surrounded by fell country, set one kilometre from the piste and walking trails and 25 kilometres from Ivalo. The 56 guestrooms, over one floor, feature simple, Alpine style decor with polished pine floors and fell views. All include coffee/tea makers, refrigerators, telephones and cable television with pay movies.
The hotel's Kieppi Restaurant serves hearty Lappish dishes in a traditional setting from an � la carte menu and buffet. Guests can warm up in separate ladies and gents saunas, and unwind beside the fireplace while enjoying drinks from the bar. There is also room service available, while other amenities include an outdoor terrace, a gift shop selling curios and sundries, free parking, complimentary Internet connections, ski storage and a children's playroom. The local slopes are approximately one kilometre from the hotel, and guests can enjoy downhill and cross country skiing, as well as snowboarding. Ivalo Airport is 25 kilometres from the hotel, a 30 minute drive.

Buses and taxis are available outside the airport. Taxi fares vary according to the number of people per group, but a trip to the hotel costs around 40 EUR. Getting around Saariselk� and surrounds is easiest by bus and train.
